Meet The Speakers

Troy Fullwood, CEO at Pinnacle Investments

Troy founded Pinnacle Investments in 1996. He has written over 250 articles on real estate investing, has spoken at over 60 industry conventions as well as participated in over 27 radio talk shows about real estate note investing.

Pinnacle Investments is a nationwide principal buyer of 1st lien performing and non-performing real estate notes. Troy has assembled a team of professionals whose main focus is to quickly assemble and close each and every transaction. He has done over 13,892+ real estate note deals since 1996, through a combination of both single and bulk transactions.

He built the first distressed asset fund on Wall Street for non-performing residential mortgages back in early 2007 to capitalize on the market crash. He spent 2 years running the distressed asset fund which operated and produced a solid 91.15% IRR for himself and the investors that were involved, in late 2008 he sold off his majority interest in the fund to a Wall Street Capital group. The core focus of the fund was purchasing first lien NPN’s and modifying the loans so that people could stay in their homes. He helped over 700 people stay in their homes during his time at the fund.

Ron Happe has an entrepreneurial and management history spanning over 40 years.  He has either started or bought, then grew and sold ten companies, two of those companies are publicly traded.  He brings an extensive background in finance and business management and introduces a common sense business approach to real estate note investing, servicing and special servicing.  Ron has a BA in business management and graduate studies in economics and finance.  He is a licensed real estate broker with an NMLS endorsement.  Ron  has attended countless accreditation workshops and seminars over his career and has attained certification as a Senior Business Analyst with the SBA.


TJ Osterman, COO at Cloud Capital Management & Paperstac

TJ Osterman, is a Husband, Father, Entrepreneur, and is interested in positively impacting society anyway he can. His current interests lie in helping the underserved, REG A+ , Alternatives market, Millennial Generation, Gen Z'ers, Impact investment, Distributed ledger tech (blockchain), helping to foster innovation, entrepreneurship and independent thinking. Tj has been in the Real estate investment world for around 17 years and his current project consists of helping the underserved homeowners of our country. TJ and his company Cloud Capital Management do this by buying small balance distressed mortgage notes and using niche market based systems not broad theory based systems to help get these families back on track. They are looking at increasing social mobility on this plan by putting together a REG A+ offering by end of Q3 17' called MWMfund.com and completing development on a state of the art note trading platform called Paperstac.com by July of 17'. He really loves the opportunity to be able to create affordable housing situations for the low to middle income families of our country.


Thomas Standen IV, CEO at Note Servicing Center

The Note Servicing Center was founded in 1984 by Tom Standen, who served as President and CEO for 30 years until his passing in January of 2015. Since then the Note Servicing Center has evolved as a Third Generation Family Company.  Thomas Standen IV joined the family firm after deciding to make a career change while still in college.  In 2003 Thomas joined the company and continued his college education but with a twist with an emphasis on business.  He graduated in record time with a BA in Business Management and moved forward with earning an MBA in Business Administration.   Thomas IV has worked side by side with Tom Senior as Secretary of the Corporation and CFO and Member of the Board of Directors since 2005.

Thomas K. Standen IV was elected President and CEO of the Note Servicing Center Inc. in January 2015 after the death of his Grandfather. He also serves as one of the Directors of the Corporation along with Roberta M. Standen, Secretary/Treasurer and Director.  Thomas IV has brought a new dimension to the Corporation upon which to build upon the solid foundation already established by the Senior Standen.  The company is experiencing extraordinary growth and profitability under the leadership of Standen IV.  His application of knowledge, innovative thinking and use of modern technology combined with the passion of his predecessor has made him a winner.

The Note Servicing Center continues to grow efficiently and effectively. Lenders continue to outsource to NSC as a third party authority or use the services to provide a “back office” sub-servicer”.  We continue to service even one note or 1,000.  Either way, we are recognized as a Premier Loan Servicing Company.  The primary mission is to collect, calculate and disburse payments for private notes, loans and other debt instruments that no bank, financial institution or escrow company has the time, capability or motivation to provide. Kurt Nederveld, CEO at Rainstar Capital Group

Kurt Nederveld is the CEO of Rainstar Capital Group, Rainstarbrokernetwork.com and Rainstar Marketing. Mr. Nederveld graduated from Calvin College based in Grand Rapids, Michigan with a B.A. in Business. He is active in leadership roles in his church, Gideon’s International and in his role as a husband and father. He enjoys reading, playing basketball, tennis, jet skiing and spending time with his family. Mr. Nederveld is a cancer survivor and is active in Biblical counseling.

jeffrey Watson, Member at Watson Invested

Jeffery S. Watson is an attorney who has had an active trial and hearing practice for more than 26 years.  As a trial lawyer, he has a unique perspective on real estate investing, wealth building and asset protection.  He has tried over 20 civil jury trials and has handled thousands of contested hearings.  Jeff has changed the law in Ohio 5 times via litigation or legislation:

Jeff has also been a real estate investor since 1994, investing in both residential and commercial properties.  He currently represents established real estate investors in commercial and residential matters when the transactions involve self-directed retirement accounts.  As a frequent and popular guest speaker and teacher on stages and webinars, he is a recognized thought leader and innovator in the field of real estate investing, wealth building and self-directed retirement account transactions.

He is a nationally-recognized authority regarding regulatory concerns with wholesaling.  He was the co-creator of the Option Contract method that revolutionized the short-sale flipping process.  Thousands of investors have used documents created by Jeff to flip properties.

Jeff is general counsel to the National Real Estate Investors Association.  Jeff is general counsel to and a cofounder of Realeflow, LLC, which made the Inc 500 list in 2011.  He currently advises four different national organizations with a combined membership of over 180,000 investors.

From 2010 to present, Jeff has led lobbying efforts in Washington, DC on behalf of real estate investors which has brought about several changes in both government regulation and policy on distressed property purchases and resales.  In 2014 and 2015, his efforts on Capitol Hill helped bring about change in the U.S. tax code and helped reinstate the Mortgage Debt Forgiveness Act.  He also met with FHFA regarding disposition of defaulted notes and mortgages in a bulk format. In 2016 Jeff met with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau regarding land installment contracts, and he is currently working to secure passage of the Seller Finance Enhancement Act.

Jeff’s efforts to secure reform in the real estate arena aren’t just on Capitol Hill.  In his home state of Ohio, he has met with the Ohio Division of Real Estate regarding the legality of wholesaling.

He is a part owner of Venture Land Title II, LLC, and his law firm prepares deeds and other documents for two title companies.  He is also legal counsel to a number of other organizations including Eagleville Bible Church, Inc.
